Kosoyu public bathhouse

Right in the center of Yamashiro Onsen, you can’t miss this building. Making an elegant use of the region’s finest crafts such as lacquerware, ceramic tiles and stained glass, this is one of the two Yamashiro Onsen hot spring public bathhouses. The Kosoyu was rebuilt exactly the way it was during the Meiji Era. Although not equipped with the usual separate spaces for showering, it is still a worthwhile place to go for relaxing and soaking in a nostalgic and refined scenery.
After the bath you might enjoy another relaxing time while having some tea on the second floor from where you can look over the town of Yamashiro Onsen. In the evening the building is lit up so you can enjoy it in a different way.
